Still using Konica-Minolta film SLR?

If you have one of the late Konica Minolta models I have a whole series of the extender cards for Flash, Depth, Portrait, Sports Action. The camera must have a slot for them. I'll send them along for the price of postage ($20) if in the USA, more if international.

I sold several on Ebay for around $20 each but that's been probably 15 years ago. they were given to me along with several broken cameras for parts.

I'm not surprised. Like I said it was at least fifteen years ago. The cameras that used the cards have long since been retired and replaced by DSLRs. Or smartphones.

Aaaagh! Smartphones! I've used mine for taking pictures but I'm still ashamed of myself. Please don't report me, OK? As for those cards I'm hoping some antique dealer will add them to his dusty collection of Brownies, twin lens reflexes and Pentax (my first ever SLR). "Sob!

I have used my Galaxy S5 on occasion but just for snapping pics of products for comparison. I did use it to shoot a few pics down in Destin, FL. a few times at night but was disappointed in the results. It did remind me to go back the next night with some real gear. Unfortunately I somehow lost the memory card. Sometimes you just can't win. My son shot some Christmas photos last year of my granddaughter and they were incredibly good. A perfect blend of ambient lighting and flash. I've got quite a dusty collection myself. Several German and Japanese rangefinder cameras from the 50's I think. Nothing valuable like some of the old Leica, Canon, and Nikon rangefinders. Nice conversation pieces though. I have them in a china cabinet that no longer holds china. Just my camera junk and sports items.

The lyrics have changed. Now it's "Momma don't take my megapixels away".

Kodachrome is poetry, megapixels is technology ... useful but not beautiful.

Believe me. I was a huge Kodachrome fan. A lot of my old Kodachrome from Colorado in the early 80's I've scanned. So I've taken poetry and turned it into something else due to technology but it's still beautiful to me.

RMNP, Colorado. Kodachrome 25 scanned with Epson V500
RMNP, Colorado. Kodachrome 25 scanned with Epson V...

I was surprised that Konica took over Minolta. Minolta produced much better cameras. It seems to me the rolls should have been reversed. But by that time both companies were expanding into different markets. Digital imaging changed the landscape. Same with Kodak. The name is no longer associated with cameras so much as digital imaging. Especially in the medical field. The future of the company still doesn't look good. Tough competition in that market.
