Photolemur Post Processing Software.
Hello All,
New hear and this is my first post. Has anyone used Photolemur photo enhancing software and do you recommend it for post processing?
Welcome to the HOG.
No, I have not used this particular software.
No doubt someone here will be able to assist with your inquiry.
Enjoy the forum and your photography.
I have tested it to have an idea of what it will do so I could pass that info along to my students
It is amazing and if one doesn't want to be connected to the computer and the learning curve for more intense work flow it is fine. Basically a simple slider that can be moved to produce the desired effect
Which for a lot of beginners using soft ware is an easy way to do a bit of tweaking to the image
Serious creative folks may find it limiting
Check to see if they have a free trial period and take advantage of that period and test it out

I tried it. Did not like it at all! Basically brightens or darkens the photo and that is about it.
Very limited. Retouched images are really brassy and unrealistic.

I do use Photolemur as a first step on my jpeg shots. Many times I don't do any additional post processing.
For my RAW shots I do not use Photolemur. I go directly into RAW Develop in Luminar 2018.
I had to look it up as I hadn't heard of it. Basically it uses AI to decide how to process the photo and gives you no options to adjust yourself. To me, that takes all the fun out of photography because I like to use my own intelligence to decide how I want my photos to look. I guess it's fine for those who don't enjoy post processing and just want their photos to look better without any creativity of their own.
There is a slider that one can control and decide on the final "look"
Basically for those who really aren't interested in more serious work or who aren't prepared to understand what they want it is a simple solution
For the serious worker this may be to limiting
I tried it during a trial period and chose to not buy it. Of all the "auto-filter" type software I have used, I liked it the least. The changes it makes to the original image seemed crude and harsh. On the positive side, it does have a nice name. And while the program is working, it impressively flashes a display of lines and lights -- as if it is doing something more than what it seems to actually have done.
In my opinion, it is better to invest the time to learn editing skills without the aid of software that does it all automatically for you. This way, you can make your images look exactly the way you want them to be.
