This really was a snap shot of the best kind. I realized that as soon as her senses told her that the cat food was served, this pose was over, so I didn't worry about back-lighting, I didn't worry about low light, {this was taken at 1/10 second, because my small sensor Q-7 starts getting noisy after ISO 400 ... and I didn't want to take time messing with settings} I didn't worry about my flash in the next room, etc ... I just took the picture that was demanding to be taken.

I could just imagine how the perfectionists here would do better .... of course, in their imaginations they don't deal with real, living, moving cats.

I like it just the way it is. The back lighting makes her fur look healthy and her face and eyes are clearly visible with sufficient detail.
Animals, both domestic and wild, do not pose with some fake, fixed smile and idiotic expressions.
We leave that to humans.

Great pic. Is she a Burmese? We have 3 Burmese cats, two of whom love to watch the cursor move around the computer screen (and block my work, of course )
