Shooting the moon can be a rare pleasure especially when something unusual is going on. On January 31, 2018 the moon was at its closest to the earth. I don't remember the reason that it was so red but red it was. I think this instance in the rising moon is called a "Blood Moon". Once the moon was a bit higher in the horizon it lost its color but was still beautiful. Here are my images...

Camera: D610, manual mode, 1/200 sec, f/6.3, ISO 200, recording mode Raw
Camera settings for b/w image
Camera: D610, manual mode, 1/1250 sed, f/6.3, ISO 200, recording mode Raw
Lens: Sigma 150-500 mm with image stabilization. Picture size is DX crop. Lens becomes 225 - 750 mm
