SHOW Me Your Best Post Processed Flower

Flowers are the ideal subject with some major challenges. Harsh and uncontrolled light with even a slight breeze can play havoc on recording the image(s). But, sometimes everything falls into place, the stars are aligned just right and we capture a masterpiece in the making. Often, its in the post processing where the fun for many of us begins.

Show me your best captured flower image. Tell me what challenges you may have had in its recording and what you did, briefly, in PPing to create your final masterpiece.

I'll start you out. My image is my wife's calle lily. Fortunately, it was in a pot where I could move it to the best light with minimal breeze. In PPing I darkened the background and used some Nik filters to soften the image. The original is tack sharp, but I wanted my final image to be moody and dreamy. For me, I think I achieved what I intended do accomplish.

Now, show me yours.

This one is a work in progress, but getting close. Swamp rose mallow has become rare here. I came upon these in a tough location - in a ditch between a busy highway and mucky ground. It was windy and overcast. You can see the original in the second image. I decided to brighten it up and eliminate the cluttered background. One tough area was the filaments from seeds caught on the stem in the lower left of the image. I wanted to keep them, bit selecting them out from the background would be just about impossible, so I drew new ones with a vector drawing tool on a separate layer. There is a crease in one of the petals on the left and I "fixed" that. Some of the edges were not very clean, so I drew and edited vector lines to define them a little better.

Always beautiful photography and processing, Dennis. Mine was processed mainly in ACR. My porch light made the glow.

Probably not my best but my latest, shot this morning (3/6/2017).
Stacking done in Helicon, post processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.
Nothing special done in post, just cropping, and usual adjustments to white and black points, etc.

Spirea, 6 shot stack.

The Spirea belongs in any "best" category in my opinion.

Two of my favorite shots. The first with my Canon EOS T3i. The second with my iPhone 7plus.

OK, here you go. However, there was not post processing, just processing.

Here is a couple of my better flower images. Not much post processing done to them except for cropping and resizing for posting. A little brightness and contrast tweaking and a very slight unsharp mask application.
