These were taken on a dive trip many years ago. I'd like to print only one and would like to see your preference. The originals were shrunk since they're quite large.
Taken with a film camera (? possibly a Chinon CE4, 50mm lens) and transferred to digital media.
I'm leaning toward the top one, wife the bottom. Thanks, Larry

Glen Number 1 with a tweak of exposure brightness down.
Make some note cards for your wife of number 2 to make her happy.

Already, with one vote my wife is out voted. I'm in deep trouble almost as deep as the dive.

I'm sorry for any trouble I may have caused....

The top one because it shows more, like the anchor, which does not show in the bottom one and you have no idea what the top of the anchor is in the bottom one because you cannot see all of it.

#1 looks like a snapshot - lines leading in random directions, visually unorganized and confusing. Too many subjects competing for attention.

#2 looks like you put thought into composition, and narrowed down what the image is about. Some cleverly executed dodge and burn here and there, and I believe you will have a real winner on your hands.

The first one, for sure. Also, it might look interesting converted to B&W.

Did I overdo?
Wife says "Do which ever you want." (She knows the sofa is really comfy so she'll make me suffer on our hard mattress) LOL

I disagree about B&W. Here's how it looks -- you lose definition with the loss of color.

I'll give anything a try but I think which ever we pick needs to be color (gotta make some compromises, right?)

I like the top one better. The rope and hook are better organized and seen, and while the bottom one is obviously a boat, having the water in the top shot better establishes it as a boat on the water.

She has accepted the top photo. I'll do a bit of processing on it to bring it up to par in the original
Thanks for all your input, she's laughing now so I guess I'm off the hook (pun intended) for now.
You people are great. My love to all of you.
