For the past two days I have been exploring through the many aspects of Topaz Studio. I have become quite engrossed in discovering the many and varied possibilities of this program. My wife has already suggested that I get the complete Studio for my up coming birthday. Been playing with images of grandchildren for the most part with a few others included.

Advice from a webinar helped me a great deal... Slide to the far right and that show the effect in the extreme, back off till it looks good to you then back off a tad more. Prior to that my work looked over-cooked to others, after that webinar lesson, no complaints.

I have had several PS people clam they could do the same with PS.... yes perhaps.... but how long and what level of expertease would be required ... lots of time and high knowledge. Topaz is instant gratification and that encourages more photography and pats on the back. Once you mount the 8x10s on 1/8 hard board standing out from wall with 3/8" blocks you have a galley with out frames, beautiful effect and you can sit and admire your work and say "wow who did that?"

Call Customer Service or email, and ask when the next sale for the compete collection is coming up. The last big one was 50% off.

I purchased a couple Topaz plug-ins initially like Impression. When Topaz Studio came out I tried it too, and enjoy playing around with it. I've put a lot of learning curve time into PS, so I won't be giving it up, but I find myself using both PS and Topaz more and more. Enjoy your experiments with Topaz. Thanks for sharing. Bev

Thanks all for your comments. I am still having fun with this software as it seems much more intuitive than anything else I have tried to use. Kind of like how Apple is logic oriented and Microsoft anything but.
