Enjoyed the feather detail and color of this falcon. Not able to survive in the wild, so spent time mending in our museum. Now he poses so we can enjoy and learn. Comments welcome. Bev
Thanks for checking out my image Jim. Bev
Thanks for viewing him Karin. Bev
I had to look that one up since I've never seen one. Great shot. It looks like they live year-round in South America or Mexico

Wow, rare bird and beautiful- had to look them up. I have read of attempts to reintroduce them to parts of Texas. Their range is north of you, do you see them in the wild? Beautiful photo NikonGal, thanks.
Thanks for checking out the Aplomado Falcon. He's a beauty. I'll post one of him again down the road, full view next time. He's been in our raptor center a couple years now. I hadn't realized his range was so far south. Bev
Not sure where our Aplomado Falcon came from, we don't see them in the wild that I know of. He's been in our raptor center a couple years now. I think we got him because he was injured, but I'll recheck to be sure.
Thanks for your interest. Bev
Gorgeous shot of a gorgeous bird ! ........Very elusive in the wild ! Thanks for sharing
Superb! Beautifully crafted.
That is a wonderful image, Bev.
