I don't know who you mean by the one they were arguing over, but I do not like the girl with the black curly hair and the straight bangs hanging in her face. There are better females.

I think that is Tia. I think her first try was not very good at all, but Simon saw something in her. They finally put her through and when she came back the second time, I thought she did a very good job.

She is not one of my fav's, mostly because I didn't like her attitude.

There are two things that influence my vote for fav's...style of music (genre) and personal attitude.

Though I believe I can recognize talent and give credit where credit is due, regardless.

I agree that her second song was way better than her first, and that what I really don't like is her attitutude. Although, I really didn't like her third performance all that much eiher. But I, too, am able to separate talent from my feelings about a person and their attitude, although in an entertainer, I do believe the package does go together.

Josh needs a makeover. Trim the beard, wash the hair and put on some decent clothes, The audience is driven by young females so he will have to work on his sex appeal if he wants to have a chance. Compare him to Phillip Lomax. Who do you think would win if selected by popular vote? As far as that goes, how will the winner be selected? Will it be the judges decision or by vote from text message like American Idol?

I agree, but I think that will happen by the time they pare them down to 16. Lomax and the other young man, (Brennan?) both present extremely well, but personally I still prefer Josh's singing over theirs, even though both are very good.

I'm not sure of how it works, but I'm thinking the judges are paring them down to numbering 16 and then audience participation, not sure about the distribution or percentage of the judges decisions and audience votes factor together.

All in all, there are many very good singers in all the categories.

:-)
