While technically this is not street photography, it does capture many of the qualities of street photography. And besides its nice to know somewhere in the USA this week these were shot while two people walked on the beach. Shot with an old 200mm Nikkor manual lens. This is intended as a progression. Please download and enlarge (+).

Technically each image alone, or the group as a whole, are pure Street Photography!

Street Photography shows the essence of how humanity interacts and relates to the surroundings. The "street" refers to the community formed by the environment. It began when the street (road) where a person lived defined a very distinct community in a way that often is not true today. A street in a city that is much the same as 40 thousand others and where many or most people don't know their neighbors is not what Street Photography is about. But a path along a beach that causes humanity to react in a specific way does define a Street as meant by Street Photography.

It is usually the nontangible relationships between tangible objects such as water, sand, light, and a person that are the actual "subject" in a good Street Photography image.

Nice, Dave. I like the coppery color, the texture and the silhouette images of the human forms. Works for me.

Thank you so much 10MPlayer. It is a color photo purposely under exposed to produce the silhouette images with the sun setting behind them, hence the coloration of the water.
