The lens is Cannon mount SIGMA f=300mm 1:2.8 APO. It has never been used and in new condition.

A very early version - Have you tried it on a Digital camera and stopping the lens down from 2.8 ?? These early Sigma's had a incompatible chip problem with Canon digital bodies when trying to get the lens to stop down.....8-(
