Was outside last night taking photos of the moon and left cameras IN camera case but open outside. I've removed batteries, memory cards. I wiped down lenses and dried them with a blow dryer. (no rain, thank goodness, but they did have some condensation on them.) I also took the blow dryer to camera bodies to warm them up. (my babies were cold)

Do I need to do anything else?

Signed one worried mom.... :D

You likely did all that is necessary to ensure there is no moisture inside. Condensation is not usually harmful.

Try putting the battery and memory card back in the camera and turn it on. If it does not start, remove the memory card and battery and put in a baggie with uncooked rice for 24 hours. You should be fine at that point.

WHY, in the modern world of central heating and dehumidifyers do we perpetuate the 'Stick it in a bag of raw rice' attitude......uncooked rice is dusty and not the most absorbent of modern materials available. Hardly something you want anywhere near an open camera.

leaving the camera on the sideboard in a living room for 24 hours would work equally well.

At least try to keep up

That's probably the worst thing you can do to them (hitting them with a blow dryer while they're still cold). Bringing them inside unprotected from that long period in the cold will likely create a lot of moisture (even inside the cameras)!

Leave the camera and lenses inside the closed bag for a few hours inside the house. Unless it was in the rain, removing the battery and card won't do anything.

Forget the rice and don't put it in a plastic bag. Leaving it in a camera bag to warm naturally will be better.

I leave my cameras in a dry closed porch overnight. Here in Florida, taking your cool camera outside in the summer from the A/C means a 30 minute wait for everything to dry out.

My next step in your case is to use a desiccant to absorb the humidity left. I use Damprid.
If no desiccant expose the cameras to sunlight BUT be careful if the sun in your area is too hot. I would keep the cameras exposed to air for another 24 hours then store them.
If everything is working nothing else to do except to remember not doing it again.

Thank you. Just repeating an old wives tale.

This is absolutely right, unless the weather is very humid. Rice is a dangerous way to go - I wouldn't touch it!
I've had the same problem - caught in a bad rain & hail storm high in the mountains, with a long way to walk back to the car.
On that occasion (med format film camera), I opened up everything I could, and placed the camera body and lens under an fairly close to a 100 watt Mazda lamp over night. The temperature thus was warm enough to do the job, but not so warm as to do any damage.

Pro type bodies can take it (not necessarily lenses and flashes though).
