What is the name ? I live in north GA and as far as I know there aren’t any camera shops or services up here. I would have to go to Atlanta.

One of the authorized Nikon repair facilities. They've worked on a couple of my zoom lenses over the years. In each case I sent the lens in, they called with an analysis of the problem and the price to fix it, I gave 'em a credit card number and the lens came back repaired in a week or two. I'll use 'em again if I need other work done.

Here is access to Nikon's authorized repair locations. You put in the item to be repaired and it gives you a list of locations on the USA map.

Peachtree Camera - take my gear in once a year for cleaning and calibration. They are an authorized Nikon repair shop and they have quick turnaround for cleanings. Had on repair item a few years ago - great job, no issues.

Another option is Berrie Smith (https://www.facebook.com/berrie.smith). He's in Buford, GA. He worked doing repairs for Nikon at Showcase Camera before they went out of business. I've used him several times for cleaning, but he is also a certified Nikon repairman.
