Looks like Canon's new mirrorless camera is ready for pre-order through B&H. It is a crop sensor camera. Would this be a decent camera to think about? I'm thinking one could use all the lenses they have on their current crop sensor camera?? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1393460-REG/canon_2680c001_eos_m50_mirrorless_digital.html

I've seen a couple of articles about that. Looks good - good specs.

Are we placing bets on when this will be moved to "Links"?

Didn't know we couldn't post links here.

Same specs as the Sony a6500, but missing some features. Time will tell how it does.

Nikon is supposed to introduce a top mirrorless camera this year. Nikon and Canon have taken too long to work with mirrorless cameras allowing Fuji, Olympus, Sony and Panasonic to get ahead of them.
One day most camera bodies will be mirrorless.

Stop thinking, that only gets you in trouble. (My wife knows, she tells me that all the time)

While an EF lens may physically fit on your mirrorless, they don't work. http://www.everyothershot.com/yes-you-can-use-an-ef-m-lens-on-an-ef-body-sort-of/

What is the point in buying a lighter camera body and using your Canon EF lenses, considering hauling the lenses around is one of the bigger reasons for going lighter on the gear?

I take my wife’s M5 paired with my 17-40 F4L lens when hiking, it’s quite a saving in weight and size to my 6D/24-105 F4L combination.

Love Canon, but it's very disappointing to see they are just starting to arrive where Sony was a few years ago.
