Last Tuesday it rained here! Boy did it rain! I don't remember the exact numbers, but we received more rain than had ever been recorded for a single day in February here. Even today, local news is about roads still closed and people still living in motels. Our total for February is now 8.0 inches - the previous record for the month of February had been 5.2 inches {we are not Florida, you know}. In the midst of the rainfall, I looked out the window and saw this squirrel; normally, a squirrel has its tail in a graceful curve, but this one had its tail flat across its body in an attempt to deflect at least some of the water pelting it. So, despite the window, despite the pelting rain, despite the ragged-looking fur of this squirrel, I took this picture
