A friend of mine picked up some MagMod gear the other day and yesterday she asked me to diagram a setup for her to do portraits with using the MagMod gear. While I have some MagMod gear itâÂÂs not what I would use for formal portraits. But this is what I came up with. The model is my lovely wife.

The Mag Mod system seems to do a good job and is very convenient. You are not doing too badly, lighting wise, with speedlights without modeling lamps. I can't critique the images on the same basis had you been working with monolights which are equipped with modeling lamps, however, if you would like a critique and some tips,p please let me know.
