A NEW, current version, with VR sells new for $ 2,300. The version for sale here must be the prior version? Is it a USA version or a grey market?
IMHO, If you really want to sell this lens fast, you'll need to describe which version it is, and a few photos of the overall view of the body and the glass on both ends of the lens.
I bought the original version when it first came out. Then I bought the upgraded "VRII" version. The results were amazing between the two, like night and day. I used the second version to shoot the SpaceX launch from Vandenberg AFB about a month ago. It was amazing.

Would you post some pictures from the launch?

Here are a few samples from the 80-400 4.5-5.6 iso 320 1/2500 at 5.6 nice sunny day. Shot with a Nikon D7100. vr. It's a good lens on a sunny day. Not great in low light.

I'm not aware of a VRII version.

The above football photos show one of the issues using this, and similar lenses, for action shots. You lose your ability to separate the play from the background so the viewer's eye is not drawn to the play/subject. Too much is in focus because of the smaller apertures. This is just one of several benefits of 'fast' glass!
