Gimbal Fluid Head

I was thinking about buying a Nest or Wimberly Gimbal for this summer. However, a B&H rep recommended the new Gitzo Gimbal Fluid Head (Manfrotto also makes one). I was wondering if anyone use one and whether it was better than the Nest or Wimberly? Thanks.

Just so you know, the Nest NT-530H was the first fluid dampened gimbal head on the market, and its the least expensive by far. Its also the lightest choice.

I've had the Nest for a couple of years. Bought it from Carter at his Camera Cottage. It has never failed me and today I will be giving it the ultimate test with the new Canon 600mm lens that arrived yesterday. I'm sure it will handle everything just fine.

I got the Nest Gimbal and it has been wonderful with my 150-600. Right price, great gear!

Agree with recommendation on buying the Nest. It works fine with my Sigma 150-600.

I’ve had it for 3 years (I think!), bought it from MT, and work the heck out of it. Shoot with a D7200 or a D500 with a Tamron 150-600 G2 most of the time. If the Nest met with an unfortunate accident, I’d replace it with another one immediately if not sooner.

I mount my $5000.00 lens on a Wimberly. Yea, my lens is worth that, any lens is.
