I've been having the same dilemma. My D5100 is about worn out, and I have a lot of Nikon lenses from my film days just waiting to be put to their full use on a Df or D750; but the D500 is SO AWESOME!...

Put the camera in auto and forget the small stuff! God made a delete button for people like you. Life it too short to worry about it!

I had the same question. Asked a lot of people and all I got were opinions. Then I did some reading (did you get that? reading). Did I ever learn a lot. Each has its good points and bad points. The results? I own several Nikons, one of which is full frame, the rest crop. I also have an Olympus OM-D, a micro 4/3. I like them all for. Each for a specific purpose. If I am doing 'studied' work, it is always the full frame. Usual day-to-day shooting, the crop sensors. I go to a lot of gatherings of friends and love the OM-D for that. It is quick for grabbing candid shots of people and it is small and un-obtrusive. So there you are....read up on them all and make YOUR decision.

But where is that delete button? There are quite a few people that I think should be deleted, although Jim Bob isn't one of them!

It depends. What do you want to do? A camera is a tool. You choose the tool based on the job. It is like asking what hammer should I use a ball-peen or framing? Without knowing if you are building a house (frame construction not a brick or we would be talking another hammer altogether) or engaging in metalwork, it is impossible to say. FF, APS-C, medium format and even 4/3 all have uses. So, are you shooting action sports, underwear ads, street scenes or ....?
