My photo shop elements version is version 10 and I also have Version 13 on a different computer. I need the converter for each version, where can I get them.

Elements does not have an Updates menu like Full Photoshop? Look under Help > Updates > and there should or may be something about Raw Importer. I don't use Elements anymore, have PSE9 on another PC but haven't run it in ages. I use Ps CS6 (and have run out of ACR updates, next camera, Ps CC). See if you can update PSE 10 or 13 including new camera Raw Profiles with an update. Otherwise you can get the Adobe DNG Converter free from the Adobe Web site.

I take it Sony has no PP software that comes with the camera? Nikon owners often open their files with such. Seems Pentax and Canon software (if still made) is less robust or useful.

In reply to lamiaceae's question on updating: my Elements 13 was no longer supporting ACR updates when I purchased two M4/3 cameras (Panasonic and Lumix) last year. Per a UHH recommendation I went to the Adobe DNG converter and was very happy with it.

You can select the entire batch of raw files from one outing and drag them to the desktop shortcut and they will convert while you go make lunch (you do need to do a one-time setup as to where you want the converted files to go). Then, in Elements 13 (I don't know about earlier version), the dng will open automatically in ACR when you select that file while in your PSE workspace.

Go HERE:

Choose your operating system and download the program of your choice.

Under *Image and Video Software,* Image Data Converter looks like the most mature, obvious choice.
