Whatever happened to the true pocket-sized camera? ... You know - the ones that shot FF, but could be slid into a pants pocket?

Does it have a zoom, Harry … or, is it a fixed lens?

The new Sony HX-99 has a 20mp sensor, a 24-720mm zoom, AND fits in a shirt pocket!!!! [$449]

Yup. Russkie. Fixed lens. 35mm. FF. Minox 35 copy. @ 35yrs ago. Too similar to a LOMO LC-A
This was typical quality of the time and era. Quality depending on the supervisor, machine maintenance, and whether the boss was looking at you in the middle of the week or drinking with you at the end. Mine actually works well, but it'll kill batteries quick- don't matter if the camera is on or off, they last a day. Some camera brands and models have consistent issues- these all had separate and individual quirks. Part of the adventure. But a nice "pocket" camera.
BTW, my Kodak 2A was also called a "pocket camera".

To think a camera the size of a Minox - could produce FF 35mm images. Look at the behemoth DSLRs we use today to produce FF images. Hardly makes sense, does it, Harry? … QC was THAT bad, was it? … I've got issues with batteries on a bunch of my bridges, too, Harry - and even one APS-C DSLR - my EOS 60D. We all have 'em, Harry - even now, with ALL the advances we've made in Digital Camera Technology, too.
