Some winter flowers

Around Houston, pansies seem to be the winter flower of choice for gardens and decorative plantings. They thrive in our chilly winter weather and provide nice little splashes of color in an otherwise drab and nearly colorless cityscape. They seem to first appear in late November and are mostly gone by mid May. I found these in a planting at the entrance to an apartment complex. These are obviously not macro images, but I did capture them using my Canon 100mm macro lens. Comments welcome and I hope you enjoy.

#4 Besides the pansies, I found these which I believe are known as dusty miller.
