Excellent, Vicki--looking great!

It's getting easier Corky and is certainly lots of fun. The next task will be to go out and get some different backgrounds.

Nice work Vicki.

Many thanks Jim. I must say, this editing stuff is certainly absorbing once you get into it.

Looking good to me Vicki. How do you get them to sit still?

The first one was a poser as was the Newfoundland. Most of the time I get candid shots at the dog park. Many shots get deleted. Thanks for taking time to look and comment randave. I appreciate it.

Beautiful, Vicki! Looks like you're enjoying these experimenting! I love the first one mainly 'cause I love pommeranians!

Thanks so much Sue. The Pom's name is Cosmo. His buddy, Martini, died recently, and he's now a lone dog. I suspect he's a bit spoiled, but who wouldn't spoil him?

May I copy the first one to share with a friend who just lost her little dog like that? I love dogs but don't have one at the moment.
Thank you very much.

I spent several hours today experimenting some more. This time I followed some tips from Linda that helped....a lot! In many ways it was easier to isolate an image on a new background than using the selection tools first before adding the background. I feel like I have options for achieving similar goals. See what you think. The hummingbird looked fine on its original dark background, but I thought I'd try putting it on a new one. It was one of my earlier attempts, and I didn't clean up the edges as well as I might - part of the learning experience I guess.

I think these are just fine Vicki, and, as I love any excuse to use movie/tv quotes, quoting cousin Eddie from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation,---They are "Real nice!"

Well done! I really want that Newfie! I'd better find a second job to pay for his food, though!
