I totally agree with you. Regular birth control methods work. The pill is 99% effective in preventing pregnancy. Compare that to how many a******ns occur each DAY! Using a******n as a means of birth control is just wrong on so many levels, and it is done rampantly in this country...THAT is what needs to stop.

And an awful lot of "forced to give birth" people are rabidly anti birth control.

What right do you have to demand someone not have sex, unless of course, they want you as a partner?
And where did I demand anything? Just gave a few tongue in cheek examples. But You tell me when life begins. You tell me where abstinence is wrong. You guys always throw the insults when you don't have a decent answer. And just remember that life is like a bowl of cherries... full of pits. And also remember you could have been that a******n.

Do you really think there are that many "forced to give birth" people in our society today? Unless you belong to a cult or weird religion, most people choose a******n now. Because today's technology allows a******n to exist, people are using it as a means to a convenient end, and that end, about 99% of the time, means the end of a human life.

Then I guess we wouldn't be having this discussion. Mom and dad could have decided not to do it that night and the results would have been the same. I don't understand your argument. If you want to discuss a cutoff date for an a******n I'd be willing to listen. The idea that as soon as an egg implants, that is a person, is absurd.

I know absolutely that there are a lot who wish to force birth (this is all about birth and forcing ones will on another. It is not about life or the poor would be treated differently than they are.)

Ahh now is deciding not to do it that night a form of abstinence? A******ns are done mostly after a fetus is formed. Give out the morning after pill and there would be very little complaints. Don't get me wrong. I do feel legal and safe medical a******ns are a much better alternative to the old back alley, rusty coat hanger a******ns that where performed years ago. But it should not be used as a family planning alternative. There are other alternatives available that where used prior to legal a******ns. Even now a woman can drop off her new born baby at a police, fire station or hospital if she does not want that child.

A******n is not the same as mom and dad deciding not to have sex. It is a viable human life at stake. If you mom and dad had decided to abort you, where would you be now?

Abstinence is the 100% solution. The pill is 99% effective and condoms are 98% effective. A******n as birth control is wrong, wrong, wrong.

I wonder how many of the righteous Lord's warriors will sign up for the new contraception pill for men?

You won't find a single person advocating serial a******n as birth control.

Of course no one is advocating it. But it is happening - a lot. And no one is turning hundreds of thousands of women away who want to get rid of an "inconvenience". Those lives that are being dismissed because of that inconvenience have no one fighting for them. It's a tragedy that they have no one to fight for them, but just "cease to exist" because the women that bear them don't care about them. In 2014, 652,639 legal induced a******ns were reported to CDC. And those are just the ones that are reported. You can't tell me that those 652,639 women had a******ns because they were necessary....and many of those women have had more than one or two a******ns! And that number goes up every year, not down. It's amazing that taking lives of innocent young babies is not thought of as murder, but they are just a "right" of the women that created them, and the light of their life can be put out in a matter of hours...and legally!!

I very much doubt that the average rapist uses a condom or stops to ask the victim if they're on the pill. But, leaving rape aside, in a world population of 7 billion, 99% effectiveness still leaves a large margin for error. Add to that the number of parents that for wh**ever reason refuse to educate their children about sex, unwanted pregnancies aren't going to disappear anytime soon. I know two women who have gone through this and I assure you that neither of them did so lightly. To say that it's used as an alternative to contraception is at best disingenuous.

The statistics are there. Like it or not, it happens way more often than you would like to think. Those 600,000+ women were not all raped, and I doubt those that were not raped were all "errors". Look it up. There are about 32,000 pregnancies resulting from rape. So that leaves approx 618,000+ "other" pregnancies per year..

i'm opposed to a******n for reasons that have nothing to do with religion. with all the methods at hand there should be no oops babies. a pill for men, cheap and ready access to birth control. most of all personal responsibility to use the damn things.
