Elements 15 download problem.

Could not find anything at Adobe help.
I had taken some shots at the Living Desert in Palm Desert, CA. Tried to download from the SD card in Elements. It would not load these. It loaded some earlier shots which were already in the hard drive. Tried again, same problem. Finally had to load them to the Pictures file through Microsoft File Explorer. Then Elements found them in the watched files and I was able to load them to the Catalogue. Never had this problem before. I only have a little over 8000 files in the Catalogue so I don't understand the problem. May not happen again, but want to understand why it did.

Is it possible you selected the wrong device when trying to import using Elements?
Since Elements doesn't actually hold files, just points to them to create the catalog, I always use explorer for the download. I've never had an issue that way.

Nope, did it twice with the Get from Camera Card or reader command, has always worked before. That usually downloads to the hard drive and sets it up in Elements catalogue. Besides, it did download older files again.
