I'm trying again.

After our child was born, my wife insisted on my recording her life. Shortly after that we were at a wedding where the bride's father had collected a slide show of the bride growing up. That inspired me to create a slide show of our daughter. For the early ones I added some script as if they were her words.

These here were shot with a Olympus 340, P&S 1.3 megapixel and were taken in early 2001. Then, computer memory was much more expensive and smaller than it is today. Thus, all of my photos were compressed to look good on a 15" CRT screen.

Enjoy. They still bring us smiles 17 years later.

Very cute and the quality has held up well. My first digital camera was an Olympus C-3000. Cost around $329 new. It was a 3.3MP camera with the semi pro feature of the ability to sync an external flash. Because of that I used it for quick turn headshots and as a digital Polaroid in our studio. I also got many great pictures while exploring abandoned coal mines with a Nikon SB-23 flash attached to a flip bracket.

Your daughter is Very Cute. My Brother in law still uses a 1.2MP Olympus point & shoot to shoot items for Ebay.

Thank you Spiney and Dave.

That Olympus ended my film days. My wife got it for me as a Christmas gift so whenever I would pick up one of my film cameras, she would ask why I didn't like the digital.

Our daughter just won the Lilly Scholarship. Here in Indiana, that is a more prestigious major award than anything with a lampshade on it. (see A Christmas Story for the reference) Basically, it is a full, four year scholarship to any Indiana college or university. She has been accepted by every school she has applied to except her first choice; Notre Dame. They send out their acceptances in a couple of weeks.

Very cute! And she's smart, too! Congrats to her on her scholarship and being accepted to all the schools she applied to. Hope she gets into Notre Dame, too! You must be a proud dad! Congrats to you, too!
