I have this lens. What software did you use? The second one appears to have an exposure and a mismatched white balance. Were these combined using the panoramic sweep feature?

Thanks!

No software used, they're right out of the camera using camera's pano function.

I'm confused. The first picture has a greyed area that one would assume is the surface of water, but the "reflections" don't seem to match what is on the "shore".

You are looking at the shadow of the boardwalk as the sun was just about to set when I took the shot.

I agree it's distracting! If I could do it again I would take the picture with the sun a little higher. I never even noticed it in the viewfinder!

Nimbus, I would like these more if....

Both seem to be missing something. I would have shot vertically or two horizontal passes and gone further to the sides too. I like the sunset a lot more. The sun is so bright I have to squint. However, I would like to see more of the structure on the left. I like all that sky and water to the right as the light fades on it.

To see the result of shooting vertically, look for my recent post from Solvang, California.

Here are some straight shots before the sun wend down.

Nice images. The first was a little confusing until you explained what it was. The second is very tranquil.

When using the in camera pano feature by hand, its easy to get a wavy horizon. Easy to correct using the PS warp transform.

Thanks for sharing
