Please critique these and share any good tips you may have for photographing children. I often have a hard time with kids. Thanks.

Great pictures Bells. Ok, first I know NO technical lingo. The pictures to me are very clear and crisp. I love them all. My eyes were drawn to the children.

I really liked the baby in the tin pot, I just think a different backdrop would have worked out a lot better. However, I think anyone is going to look past that being what the subject is! You have a great eye for children and props. I'd like to see more as you go on your journey of photogrpahing. Great work! I'd like to share a few of mine as well. I hope you don't mind.

Cat, yours are great as well, just a little to close, but it's different and I seem to like it, breaking some rules is a must!!!

Here are some of mine. (These are my children!) I couldn't get permission from the parents of the other children to post theirs online... so here we are!

You are kind JDTX. I am posting only the ones I think are best. Maybe I'll get brave at some point and show you some "duds". You would see some out of control kids and a photographer having a tough time of it. WHEW.....

Thank You JWilliams. Your children are adorable and the pix are great. I love to look at other pictures. I learn so much that way. I will post more. I appreciate all of the advice.

Bells: For someone that has a hard time with children, you did great! I noticed they all had natural smiles. That is the hardest thing I have to cope with.
Cat: Good work. I could just feel the emotion protrayed by that young girl. Loved the eyes in all three photos.
Jwilliams: You have nice looking children. I like the way you moved in and put the focus on the child.
Good work all three of you.

I love the ride ended. You don't always need a smiling child. Children have many, many different faces and attitudes and crying is just one of them. Great capture as this is real life and I love candid shots. I think I might have cropped in closer but love it just the same.

Love all your photos. The only one I have a problem with is the tub shot. It looks like the tub is floating in mid air, it needs something like a floor or table top to anchor it and may crop in a little closer, other than than it's great. Keep up the good work. The best think for shooting children and also pets is have plenty, plenty, plenty of patience, that's the secret. Good luck.

Bells - I like all your photos. I rarely photograph people or children, so do not have any suggestions. To me, they look good... very good.

Thanks for the advise and the kind words. Patience is sometimes hard for me.
