I am considering buying one of these lens to use with my D7000.
I have not found any reviews, as of yet, on this lens.
If you have one of these lens, please post two pictures taken with the lens. One picture at 18 and the other at 300.
Thanks! :-)

My local camera store has one in stock that I got to handle, it looks almost exactly like the 28-300mm FX lens, but is DX. Around the same size and weight, but more money. To me it just doesn't make sense to spend that much on a DX lens when it only offers a small increase of focal length on the wide end and limits you to DX. But thats just my opinion.

I can understand your point of view. You'd want lens that would be compatible with both your 800 and 7000. As for me, I'm still all DX (90 and 7000) and still considering which way to go. With the DX lens I have it would be a real "leap" to go to a FX body.
I too "handled) on of those lens and something on the low end didn't look right, hence my initial request for pictures.

Guess I'll just have to wait for some reviews.

If I really wanted zoom, I could go get the newly announced Nikon 800mm f/5.6 lens. First born wouldn't be too much to give up for that lens. :D

I thought about this to replace my 18-200 & 70-300 but decided against it.
