Pictorial Photographers of America would like to extend an invitation to forum members in the New York City area to join us at Grand Central Terminal on Tuesday, February 27th for a photo shoot.
We will explore and photograph the granger and beauty on both levels of Grand Central Terminal that are permitted to be photographed.
There is no charge to participate in this photo shoot and it is opened to both members and nonmembers.
The number of participants will be limited and requires registration as soon as possible.
The use of Tripods and Monopods requires a permit. The permits will be available on a limited basis.
If you wish to participate in the photo shoot, please private message me for details and registration as soon as possible at:
Pictorial Photographers of America (PPA) is open to photographers - professional, amateur and beginner - of all levels. Founded by Clarence H. White in 1916, it is one of NYC's oldest photography clubs.
We meet at 7:00 PM on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 346 West 20th Street (between 8th& 9th), New York, NY 10011 in St. Peter's Church Rectory in Chelsea. Please ring the bell when you arrive.
One meeting per month is usually a presentation by a photo professional, and one is a members' competition (digital and print categories) critiqued and judged by a professional.
You may visit our website at:

You can probably get there by train.

What time of day is the shoot? And what is the length in time of the shoot? I could be interested depending on times and train schedule.
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
We will be meeting at 7:00PM. This will give people a chance to grab something to eat or some coffee before we start. It will also give us time to do some planing where we would like to shoot.
The shoot will begin at 8:00PM. This the start time that Grand Central allows. We would not be allowed to shoot be until the end peak time which is 8:00PM.
I am waiting to see how may people will be participating before I set a final location to meet.
Permits are required for Tripods or Monopods. Please let me know if your would like to use one.
If you would like to attend registration is required.
Please email us at photoclubppa@gmail.com
