There is a dog there, honest. Toby is my wife's shin tzu - sorta, she got him - I and Tara(Terror), my little Jack Russell spend all our time with him in the family room and backyard. Mama is napping or watching TV in the living room when she isn't out and about.
Toby is at the stage where Mama has told him one of these days he is going for a haircut and a shampoo. During the rain he got in everything and really needs that bath and haircut. The wife and the lady at the grooming parlor tend to do things like a buzz job (leaves him looking like a plush toy of a yellow lab puppy) with a "lion" tuft on his tail and a mustache. Sometimes a tuft on each ear. For the first few days he tends to hide (embarrassed?) and Tara barks at him "Who are you and what did you do with Toby?"
Ha. I used to hike with a neighbors Chow. Every summer she would get him one of those Lion cut trims to "make it easier on him in the heat." I remember once a group of Mtn bikers passed up by and said, "don't worry little Dude, the hair'll grow back."
Always felt Baily was embarrassed.

Yes, for one thing he can see without looking through the hair. The other problem is that when he and Tara fuss and play? fight she gets a mouth full of Toby instead of a mouth full of hair. (he thinks he is Romeo and she knows she is THE BOSS)
Nicest picture of a dust mop I have ever seen.
Just don't tell your wife I said so.

Thanks, it was the textures that made me keep it, when I pushed the shutter button he was looking at me. By the time it focused and fired his head was down and I got a pile of Shin Zhu winter coat.
She won't mind, she is the one who gets him a buzz cut every spring.
He has a sort of serious/sad look thanks to the way the fur on his head and face grows.
I agree with Bill_de. My comment? A living dustmop!
Nice that you posted the shot where you can see is cute face.
Love that little guy . Thankyou for sharing your captures , 🖒🖒🖒

Thanks, I think this is the heaviest winter coat he has ever grown. Yet here in So Cal it is the mildest winter since we got him 8 years ago. We rescued him from being sent to the shelter when our Niece and her family moved to a place where they only allowed one dog. They found him in a park running loose after they saw a guy trying to give him away then let him go when no one took him. They had him a year. The vet said he was about 3 when we got him. He loves attention even if it is just talking to him.
Here is his BOSS. Tara (Terror on her license) my little Jack Russell mix we got 9 years ago when she was 10 weeks and 2.5 lbs.
