I recently noticed a pizza photo somepne had posted and recalled a picture of this slice of Chicago pizza heaven. It's from Peqods. And yes, it was real, and it was spectacular

I saw a documentary years ago, on New York Pizza vs Chicago Pizza. Many years ago there was a Restaurant in my community, closed permanently now, because Chain Pizza Shops came in with cheaper pizza. I went to that restaurant, and it was called the Deep Dish Pizza, Chicago Style. It was scooped out and put on a plate. You ate it with a knife and fork. It was very good, I must say. But, New Yorkers frown on eating pizza with a knife and fork. Just as many Chicago Hot Dog Shops, don't believe ketchup belongs on hot dogs. Regional differences. I am neither a New Yorker nor Chicagoan.

I originally took the picture to taunt very jealous relatives in PA.

Italians eat pizza with a knife and fork, but their pizza is real, not that disgusting concoction pictured.

Boy that looks good. Chicago has lots of great foods. I got hooked on the Chicago style hot dogs in the airport. I flew home from a work site each week and always made time for a hot dog in the airport.

I lived in Chicago for 50 years. Nothing can compare with a deep-dish Chicago pizza from Lou Malnati's or Pizzaria Uno's. Any Hogger from the Chicago area will agree with me.

Agreed!

NY pizza is bread with tomato sauce on it.
