If you are saving your jpgs in Adobe RGB and open in sRGB it will look terrible. Many Windows programs and even websites will recognize the color space and adjust accordingly, but Windows is not among them. Convert to sRGB before using as a screen saver or desktop background.
I did not know that. Thanks for the info. My desktop slide show is sort of a rolling 'favorites' collection.
