House Finch getting breeding colors. I give in already. I guess it might be spring here in So Cal.

I noticed the finches colors are getting brighter. So I guess this warm spell started spring early here in So Cal.

Very nice image, Robert and have noticed that even here I'm hearing a few more notes than a few days ago!

Thanks. A false early start to spring is not really a new thing. Back in the 50s I remember seeing bright yellow lilies and other flowers sticking up out of 8" of fresh snow on Easter Sunday. We lived in York, PA that year.

Thank you - that love sick dove is still chasing the lady all over the place and more of the finches are getting redder and redder.

Are the finches getting redder from embarrassment to see how the poor dove is chasing the lady and not quite catching her?
