Last time I was in Oatman was one of the Biker weeks. I had to park my bike down the road and walk a quarter mile in 110+ degree heat. I was done be 2 in the afternoon and as I was leaving the ladies were riding up and down the streets on the backs of the bikes showing off their wares. The following year they had deputy sheriffs on the roofs to make sure it didn't happen again. I have a photo of me standing nose to nose with one of those donkeys.

Sorry I missed that. Prolly won't ever let that happen again. Try the River Run in Laughlin.

Thanks :) Question did you buy a lens hood for you 44-2? I measured mine with a micrometer it measured 48.2mm so I ordered a 48mm lens hood thinking (should work) It's a little small. So it prolly need a 49.. but could be a 50. So much for my measuring things. Don't see it clearly marked on the lens. So what you think? Also, while my fingers seem to be hitting the right keys. I told you I would post more with that lens. Well I have shot more but found the beauty in the lens is in the Bohka. so pretty much need to keep it wide open at f2. Most of the shots I tookded were stopped down so not much difference than any other lens. I will post when I gots some goodins. Oh and how u doin?

Hi Frankie.... I never use lens hoods on any of my lenses and never use a tripod either... When I first shot with my helios, I captured such beautiful bokeh, but I think that was due to shooting into the right light... I haven't been shooting with anything lately, the weather has been horrible here, even my shots indoors were all deleted.
I need spring to hurry up, I'm in such a photo slump lately... so post yours!! ...and I think you're right about shooting f2, for bokeh, but whatever aperture you use, the shots are always sharp!!

Actually it still happens to me in Arizona.... actually having to put on a hoody or light weight jacket to go out and take pictures really sucks lol.... Anyways it's snow bird season and my friends from NY are here for a couple of months so they keep me busy with events. This weekend was winter fest and next weekend the fire works vendors come to town and we get 5 days of pyrotechnics. Most of the show I can shoot from the house but I do gottsa where that jacket :( wishing you an early spring.

Ha.... it sounds really rough living down there, especially having to wear a jacket! Today we had an entire day of rain and it's still raining... almost 3" fell!
Thanks for your early spring wishes... I hope Ma Nature listens!!
