I have enlarged an iphone7 image to 20' by 30'. The resolution is incredible.
In my upcoming (first) photo exhibit, two of the snaps were taken with my iPhone 6s.
My wife's iPhone6 takes great scenic photos and the phones...although I'm not sure why will still call them "phones"...just keep getting better. But I still like the feel of a camera in my hands.

Ditto. The ergonomics of a <D>SLR are much better for me. But I DO sometimes use my cell. Even my S-III yields great results.
So why has nobody come out with a phone with interchangeable lenses? I don't mean add-on auxilliaries.

Excuse me, did you say feet rather than inches? If so that is more than amazing! Even if you meant inches I am surprised.

They are amazing. I hear the groans of ILC manufacturers everywhere. DSLRs are becoming a niche market.

No. Inches.. Sorry, my early morning mistake.
It was an experiment just to see how it would come out---and I was very impressed at the resolution enlarged to 20 inches by 30 inches.
I will still buy a new 850 this year, but the phone quality is remarkable.

You are right. DSLR manufacturers have lost market share to cell phones. My daughter was married in October. There were 150 people there and three cameras. Those were the wedding photographer and her two assistants. Those guests who were taking pictures were using cell phones. This was taken with a cell phone.

20 x 30 feet? Surely you meant 20" x 30".
These at a couple of cell phone picture's that my son took with his cell phone ...
He has a Google pixel phone...
Side note, these were taking from a moving vehicle and through the windshield ...
Cell phone cameras are very good indeed in standard situations and circumstances. If you have backlighting, how would you change settings to accommodate? Various other situations on a trip to alasks convinced me to go from both a cell and a point and shoot digital to a dslr.
