What brand of lens is this?

I recently acquired a nice Pentax K1000 that had a 70-210mm zoom on it. I can't find a manufacturer or brand name on the lens anywhere. The only marking I can find that may indicate the brand/manufacturer is on the front - a hieroglyphic that looks like a QTII (see image). The lens has a nice substantial feel and good build quality appearance to it and a "just right" fluid motion to the focus and zoom. It is marked "Lens made in Korea" near the mount end. Does anyone recognize the marking and which brand this lens may be?

The QT suggests Quantray. Check their web page to ask a question using that lens number and specs. Woul might hit pay dirt with luck. But it works good, well why bother.

QT could be a Quantaray... which is a Ritz/Wolf rebrand of a what is usually a Tamron or Sigma lens. less than 200 difference in the serial numbers :)

OMG, by that serial #, this is one of those misprint Leica lenses. Like the upside down postage stamp, Leica missed putting it's name on a very few lenses making them VERY rare.
That lens is worth MILLIONS!!!

I’ll go with Robert on this. If this is a KMart item, MT, it sure looks and feels like a decent lens. Haven’t run any film through the camera with this lens yet though. Thanks to you all for your information and help.

I knew that Sears distributed some Pentax (and Ricoh) gear under their various "house names", I didn't realized that K Mart sold any K-Mount lenses (Although With "K" right in the name, they really should have sold nothing else. Except maybe some Kodaks.) But then many K Mart 35mms were rebranded Petris. IIRC I think that later Petri 35mm SLRs used the K-Mount, So it makes sense. And since Sears owns K-Mart, (or is it the other way around?) - The circle of life is complete.

To be fair the branding is less of an issue than the third party manufacturer, which if Tamron or Sigma might be reasonable. Sometimes Tamron lenses have been sold under the Pentax branding and there is often a version with nikon or canon mounts.
