Well, I finally did it. I'm now on the ignore list of one of our members (purportedly because of my language). I sent out an olive branch and was informed that I would be removed if I'd watch my language. I attempted to respond with a courteous acquiescence, but found I am still blocked, so I cannot send a response. So I have the following options:

1. Hang myself from the nearest tree.

2. Rejoice in my newfound status and ignore him.

3. Use this thread to write an appropriate response.

I'm terribly sorry, but I'll have to exclude him from any comment on this issue.

You did what you could. Some people are very sensitive about language. On the other hand, few of us on here are that indispensable.

Ignore him the old fashioned way.
I had someone put me on ignore because I took exception to a post involving a subject that is very controversial and important to me. I also mentioned that I and others didn't appreciate someone from another country where they do things differently preaching/talking down to us because we don't do things the same way he (and his government) thinks is "right". Got on his ignore list. Waited a month or so and sent Olive Branch, no answer, still on ignore so now I more or less just ignore him the old fashioned way. I do look at some of his posts now and then as he posts a lot of good jokes, cartoons and even poetry that I like.

Is it really that important for you to send a final response to the blocker?
If the blocker does not want to communicate with you any further, then there's not much you can do. In such a situation, it is often best to just let it be.

I don't have any idea who it was, but I went to view someone's pic from the New Pictures area and had written a flattering comment but when I tried to send it, I found myself on the person's ignore list.

I went waaaay back in his posts to try to find my response to something of his that may have been offensive to him that I might have said in the past, but could find no record of ever having responded to anything he had posted.

No, it really wasn’t that important to answer the post, but if he wants me to watch my language and wants a reply, why not let me answer him? Believe me, I’m not really devastated enough to hang myself, just a little miffed at his taking that one last opportunity to take a shot at me. But I may yet use this thread to respond to him.

Robert, I would have understood no response. I'm just a bit miffed that he took that one last opportunity to take a shot at me.

When I get put on an ignore list(and I'm on many), I let out a very loud primordial "YES", and with a loud thud I slam my clenched hand hard onto my chest and rejoice!!!
I think back to my old school days when the introverts would scoot around the hallways making nary a sound or eye contact. I still feel bad for them, for I know they have not changed!!!
It's no way to go through life....., lifeless!!!

I am also and do not know why nor do I really give a #$@!. His posts are not generating as much discussion now partly because his ignore list is huge and because his posts are nothing more than dribble and useless questions that no longer warrent an answer.

He would do much better teaching his skills, since he 8s so knowledgeable about photography, to others. But he does not so he must not be.
