Try the wax first. I am also a physician but not a surgeon. If the wax did not work would have done surgery. does hurt to try non surgical first.
Additional description:
My "trigger finger", most I've talked to locally call it that, act's this way.
From a "High Five" position, all is well. Then when I slowly make a fist with out straining my right hand, I get about half to three quarters movement and then suddenly my third finger quietly snaps to a complete fist-like position. When I open my hand up it remains in a fist-like position until the rest of my fingers open about half way then it quietly snaps open to the same general position of the other fingers.
It almost feels like the tendant is not working properly.
Is that truly called a "Trigger finger" or what?
*(Free medical advise???) LoL
SEE YOUR DOCTOR for advice and treatment.
An Orthopedist can give you a shot in the finger and told to soak it in hot, then cold water (alternating) while exercising it should take care of the problem. I have had it a couple of times and it is not fun
Had that on my thumb.
Surgery fixed it.
Good luck.
