I spent several weekends last winter and this winter trying to find one. It's easier said than done. They are quite illusive. I hope you enjoy. Gary

What a beautiful animal. Wonderful captures. What lens and camera were you using?

Thank you very much. I totally agree with you. They are so beautiful. I was using a Nikon D-7100 with a Tamron 150-600. Gary

great photos! perhaps the most impressive of the many owls, they certainly look the most spiffy ... we have barred owls, barn owls and hoot owls here in southeast vermont ... saw a barred owl fly across my driveway while i was walking my dog ... she passed us at about eye level at a range of maybe ten feet, and was completely silent. not just quiet - complete silence ... sometimes being a mouse has a serious downside.

While I use a Canon, I have that Tamron lens and love it. BTW, I am also Gary. Good to meet you.

Thank you very much. The Snowy Owl will fly right by your area twice a year. They will leave the Arctic, head south for the winter and head return in the spring. If you have a marshy area with water and ducks, you may just see one. It took me a long time to find one but well worth the effort. Stunning beauty! Gary
