Very nice squirrel capture! The lighting is very complementary.

You are so right, Bill. Just a rat with a fuzzy tail. Nice image, though.

Thanks, Carol.

backlighting is my favorite. to the point my wife doesn't even want to hear the word anymore. but when she's ready to shoot something in that light she will only say, " Isn't this light lovely?"

If I just want to tease a little I'll just answer that "Yeah, it is really nice BACKLIGHTING" .

gets her every time.

They are cute, especially when they are at your house.

Thanks, Sue.

just taking an opportunity to grab my 150-600 tamron an blast away at a few things in the yard.

this guy was taken from about 60', through double-paned low E windows that haven't been washed probably since September.
camera was set to DX format cropping.

really like that lens so far.

thanks for looking in, Mike.

here are a few I took at Jellystone last June when the lens was brand new and I wasn't yet familiar with all it's quirks.

according to my rangefinder these were taken at 956 yds on average.

we were there in the wee hours just after sunrise to take pics of the waterfowl in this area and had the privilege of seeing this calf born.

this series was between 5 and 6 hours later. we watched as momma was coaxing her baby across the water and into the woods.

Mr. Bill, I call them tree rats. Excellent photo of an often overlooked animal.

If they were not so common, people would always want to get a photo or two of one.

Nice collection of photos. I am especially fond of the squirrel photo. I know they can be pests, especially if you have a bird feeder, but I do think they are cute.
