Last year I picked up an Olympus 8mm “Lenscap” lens - for use on my E-M1 - and it has become my 'fun' lens to play with. Love shooting odd events, people and general snapshots with it. Even used it a few times on jobs. The only problem is its slow speed. So I have been looking at some of the faster, similar focal length lenses. Can't really justify the expense of one of the top end fish eyes, but some of the moderate priced ones look good. Prices seem to range form $60 or so for a CCTV lens on up. So, any suggestions on which might be a reasonable step up in terms of lens speed and image quality without breaking the bank? Thanks!

If Rokinon makes a lens for Olympus their fisheye is most excellent and relatively cheap. Their other lenses are well regarded though I believe most are manual focus if not all.
I don't know their whole lineup though.

You might consider this:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1040175-REG/rokinon_hd8m_mft_8mm_hd_t3_5_hd.htmlThe lens is actually made by Samyang and sold under various brand names. I have one for APS-C Canon and really like it for value for money. I found mine brand new with the Vivitar brand on e-bay for $175. It is a well reviewed lens across multiple brands.
If you want good Olympus advice for m4/3 mirrorless you could do worse than ask Cdouthitt, Clint is a strong advocate for m4/3, mirrorless, and Olympus, but despite that is a good source of knowledge for things Olympus related. He appears to be god like and claims to live on a pile of the stuff, although he might be a light weight god!
I bought a Vivitar 8 mm lens for a Nikon APS-C (D7100) camera.
It works great and is fun to use.
It cost $159 U.S. from Amazon.
I also use a 8mm lens, it's good for a 180 degree image. mine is f 3.5, which I don't consider a slow lens when I up the iso. for a circular fisheye I had to go to a 5.8mm f 3.5. they both work the same on fx and dx cameras.
What I use with my Olympus bodies is a Panasonic 7-14 f4.
It is all the wide angles I need.
I have read several reviews and watched some YouTube footage on the 7artisans 7.5mm f/2.8 lens, and it looks to be a good value. Since it is so new I am wondering if anyone has actually gotten and used one. If so,your first-hand comments would be most appreciated.
