I don't know where you are, but this is the lab I use and they can print up to 40x60. At least you can ask what they might be able to do for you. St. Petersburg, Florida.

My grandson's HS swimteam recently had 2.5' x 4' posters printed of the Seniors from JPGs I took with my Nikon D7000. Cost for basic banner was only $19.99 + tax. I was extremely pleased with the results. To access this service, go to www.samsclub.com and then to the business tab where the poster printing is available. The images need to be LARGE originals [mine were ~ 8M each] so shoot large. The graphics on the posters to the left were done by me in photoshop prior to submission. The wording on the far right picture [different in-District HS, not my image] were printed in-house by SamsClub as part of the ordering system available. You have to have a SamsClub account to use this service.

This image is also an example for the "backlit" Forum question also contained in this edition of Uglyhedgehog. I had to use a +1.7 stop overexposure to get anything close to a correct exposure on the skintones of the families.

Hope this helps,
JimC

Don't know the quality but Walmart does poster size prints. The examples shown in the store look great.

Do a Google search for Professional Color Labs. Find one near you with a remote order entry system so you can submit files over the Internet.

BE SURE to call them and talk to a technician or customer support agent who can tell you exactly what image sizes (in X by Y pixel dimensions, not MB!), what image file formats, whether they can send you their ICC color profiles for soft proofing, and any other information you may need to get the most from them.

Note that many labs don't go larger than 30x40. Fortunately, most better labs now print their largest sizes on Epson or Canon pigmented inkjet printers. These "GicleƩ" prints have a much wider color gamut and much better longevity than silver-halide based processes (C-prints).

Most pro labs have discount structures for very high volume users. If you do more than $10,000 worth of wholesale finishing per year, discounts should apply.
