Canon Pro 100 Question.
I now have 2 drivers showing on my Computer when I go to print.
1. Canon Pro 100 series.
2. Canon Pro 100 XPS
The Pro 100 seems to work OK.
The Pro XPS I have problems with.
Both of thease were installed when my new printer was newly installed.
I have no idea what the XPS means.
Question:
Can I safely delete the XPS driver?
The XPS driver is for 16bit images. So if you have images that are jpg use the Pro-100 Series driver. If you have images that are 16-bit psp or tif images, use the XPS driver. It's has the ability to print using all the 16-bit files info where the non XPS driver is for 8-bit jpg info.
What problems are you having with the XPS driver?
When I installed mine, the Canon guy told me to not bother with the XPS because it was problematic. I normally print from 16-bit Tiffs with the non-XPS setting and they turn out fine. Frankly, thanks to the Canon advice guy, I've never tried the other one!
I do all my printing through the XPS driver on a Windows 10 machine and prior to that a W7 machine. I have never had a problem. If the regular driver is giving you the results you want that is all that counts.
