A few days ago the hummingbird feeders were covered 2 and 3 deep with bees part of the time
This little one would hover and use it's wings to clear bees away from one of the feeder stations then go in and sip until they piled up again then back off and fan them away again.
Not good pictures, too far away but I got shots of one of those cycles. Light also dim so ISO 1250.

bad news - competition for the nectar (so much for "bee proof" feeder)

Just a short time ago I glanced out the door and saw two hummers, one at each feeder doing the same thing. But it looked like the one bird was not nearly as polite as this one. I think it was actually knocking the bees off with its wing tips.
