What's next ? What do I do ?

I hit a wall what do I do next? I took photos at a concert here on Long Island in which the counrty station held. I sent some to the station & they posted them on there web page. Then I got a email from one of the music companys that saw the photos of one of the artist.They would like me to contact them to purchase some photos for publicity purposes.
Whats my next step? what do i ask for ? what should I ask for & get in return. Any help in this matter would be great . Thanks

You did hit a wall, didn't you! I'm sure you didn't mean to. This is a topic that brings distress to many people.
You need to know exactly what they are going to do with your photos. If they're going to mount a 60x120 ft. light board in Times Square, $75 would be crazy cheap. But if they're going to use it in a Craig's List ad, $75 is crazy high.
Make sure they give you a byline, regardless of all else!

I agree with Danilo, is it a one time use?...unlimited use? Etc. etc. Congrats, could be a start to something great.

See, what you do is this... You tell them you just posted the photos, that your friend Patrick actually took them and that he would be delighted to discuss terms with them. Please feel free to give them my contact info.

Im not sure as of yet what they really want to do But i was told to find out what the entent useage will be and for how long. maybe a cd cover maybe a paster to resell Im hoping they will contact me sometime today. Just keeping my fingers crossed Will keep u posted & thanks for the info.

Sure thing I will keep u posted, as of now the woman from universal Music will be getting back to me on Monday once back from vacation. some photos can be viewed at mycountry96.1 listed under freedom fest photos that i sent to raido station where they were seen by Universal music & i was contacted.

That has the be one of the worst websites I have been too in a long time. It is so cluttered I couldn't find anything about a freedom fest even using their sear box. I gave up after 10 minutes of looking
