How long does a SDHC memory module last?

In my case a very long time from when I bought my Canon 60D until today when I didn't notice it hit the floor and my year old chewing machine found it first. I have included iPhone photos of the module and the chewing machine. Now I know what SanDisk puts inside them. Fortunately I had just downloaded it to my Mac so I can put a non-chewed memory back in the camera and be little more careful where I put it in the future.

Fred, Keep your camera away from him.

That is not a chewing machine but a shredder. Good ones are expensive to get, expensive to upkeep and if you are in luck, they last about 12 years long past the warranty...

Seems that you have a backup too.

The camera is safe. I just brushed one of those little flash memories off the edge of the table after I downloaded it. My little girl, Belle, was more attentive than me.

Yes, but Belle is a pound rescue mutt as were Pearl and Rosie before her. Both of my dogs have a lot of black lab in them plus whatever their traveling salesman fathers contributed. Pearl, my avatar image, is about about eight years old and finally calmed down. Last year when Rosie died, we had to get a puppy, Belle the chewing machine.

I see you have a Roseann couch. I had one just like it!

Love the pic of Belle with her tongue hanging out.

Did you have to have the chewing machine’s stomach pumped? Those memory parts are hard to pass. ;)

As my photo shows at least 90% of it was on the floor when she was done.

God bless you for rescuing your lovely friends from certain death in the pound! We have fostered over 200 dogs over the years, and each and every one is precious. Love the images.

Looks familiar. Our yellow lab mix made a hand calculator look a lot like that. Chewing machines indeed!😒
