One of the lost ones, but found again!
Been debating big time if I want to do this or not. I Don't know if I should show them or keep them to myself, they're very personnel- I was there and saw this, no one else was!
Seen some stuff that people post on UHH and along with it comes "Comments Welcome" That goes with my posts, only difference- I don't learn nothing by the "Warm and Fuzzy" stuff. It's good I like it, but I'm always open to other opinions.
I also believe that to much becomes a redundancy and becomes very boring- I'd welcome your opinions and would welcome your suggestion- OH no chance of the "ignore list" with me.
Chris T, I see you have thinned out the herd to the "Warm and Fuzzy'" crowd only, no fun to read any more
Does the image, which is quite nice, have a title or a caption indicating a location? It is a bit dark for my personal taste, but I am absolutely not the best judge or the fountain of artistic taste.
Ok, your image is pretty, but overall too dark for a landscape composition. I know there's detail in there (assuming you shot in RAW and have Lightroom). Bringing exposure up 1 - 2 stops will brighten overall, but not enough. A graduated filter up from the bottom to the sun, with a shadow adjustment, will bring out more detail. Finally, a radial filter sized from the shoreline to the sun across the middle of the image, will get even more detail visible.
If you have the new Adobe Lightroom Classic CC, there is now an "Auto" option in the Develop module that will bring your images to something like a level playing field and presents a great place to start.
There you go.

Your opinion, I respect it, but it was 10:30 pm, should I make it look like when?
No "Warm and Fuzzy"
Capture NX2 for me?

Regardless of when you took the photograph, if it is a RAW file you can pull out hidden details with subtle manipulation. This image was taken at 10:30 PM and when I was done, it looked like daylight. You are only limited by your imagination and your available tools.
If you like honest feedback, I am going to say that this photo, compared to other sunsets that I see on 500pix is very week. There is nothing in the picture that would want me to look at it for more than a few seconds.
But, I do believe that in person, it must have been beautiful. And if you like it, that is all that should matter. As far as the processing, it was already addressed. Again, it is very personal and if you feel that the shadows are fine as they are, who is anyone to say otherwise? But it may not be liked by others unfortunately.

Why would I want to show the sun still visible at 10:30 and make it look like it's at noon?
I respect your comment, not to sure if you have ever seen the sun while out fishing in the NWT at 10:30pm, and if you did I'd like to see your "Imagination' at work.

You are welcome.
We were between Oregon City and Estacada, until October. We are in the process of finding a new home and staying in Eastern Oregon until we find the right house.

This is the first time I have committed. I am just a very much so beginner. But I love your sunset. To me it feels like peace and quiet. I know I cannot compare to you, I just started taking pics two months ago. So I won’t disput anyone. Like I said I love it the way it is. Thanks for the share.
