The first picture is of my wife, taken on Sanibel Island about 4 months before we got married. The sun was extremely bright, so I could have use just a little fill flash, but, unfortunately, I didn't have it with me.

As always, comments and suggestions are always welcome.

I keep a small piece of white paper 2ft. x 2ft. in my camera bag to use as a reflector to bounce light back on the subject. Flowers or faces.

Beautiful family. Agree that bounced light, fill flash or a reflector could be used to add more detail foryour wife.

Thank you, 14kphotog. That's great advice! I spent too many years in the studio (controlled lighting) and doing wedding photography where I normally had an assistant to use fill lighting.

I will take your advice and be sure to put a small piece of white paper in my camera bag. Again, thank you so much.
