Welcome to UHH. 42nd St. Photo and Abes of Maine are in the same category. If you use the search function at the top of the page and type in 42nd street, you’ll get a plethora of threads about them and reading them will make you want to run as fast as you can in the other direction. This topic (42nd street) comes up about once a week or so. The answer is always the same - Don’t even consider them.

If ya like to gamble with your camera budget, enjoy frustration, then go ahead make their day be a victim and get under the spell of 42nd Street or Abe's, hint the original Abe's filed bankruptcy several years ago. The usual camera on line sellers are tops for a reason Adorama, B&H, Amazon etc. for a reason they don't engage in bait and switch tactics, they don't charge you credit card until you order has been shipped.
